After-School Art with Purpose

Creativity is about more than making beautiful things, it helps children develop confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills, attention, and a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Through intentionally small groups, relationship-based teaching, and a calm, whimsical environment, children are invited to develop confidence, curiosity, resilience, and creative thinking.

Unlike many art programs, our classes are rooted in Rachel’s own artistic practice as a working mixed-media artist. Students learn the same processes, materials, and ways of seeing that inform Rachel’s professional work, while being guided in age-appropriate ways. We journey together through experimentation, discovery, problem-solving, and skill development.

Classes emphasize process over product, mindfulness, hand skills, nature connection, and the belief that creativity is something to be nurtured slowly over time.

Enrollment + Tuition

Enrollment reserves your child’s place in the program for the full school year. Families interested in one semester only are welcome to reach out about availability.

  • Fall Semester: Sept 14 - Dec 14

    • No class on Oct 12 and Nov 23

  • Spring Semester: Jan 25 - May 3

    • No class on Feb 15 and Mar 15

Class Size

Class placement is based on age, maturity, and creative readiness. If you are unsure which class is the best fit for your child, please contact Rachel.

Tuition

Tuition is annual and is split into two equal payments. The first payment will be taken when you enroll your child and the second payment is due January 25th.

  • Mini Makers - $445 per semester

  • Mindful Makers -$600 per semester

End-of-Semester Celebrations

Twice a year we gather as a studio community to celebrate the creative journeys of our young makers.

Rather than a traditional art show, families are invited to take part in a creative project inspired by what the children have been learning throughout the semester. Children have the opportunity to share their skills, ideas, and knowledge, guiding parents through a hands-on creative experience together.

The hope is to celebrate not only what has been made, but highlight the growth of your child’s confidence, perseverance, and creativity.
