At the Rachel Larlee Studio, we offer two enriching after-school programs designed to nurture your child’s creativity, emotional well-being, and love of making.
Mindful Makers – Wednesdays 3.30pm-4.30pm
Perfect for children in elementary school, Mindful Makers is a gentle introduction to creative expression and mindfulness. Each week, students engage in hands-on crafts that inspire imagination, self-expression, and calm.
In this peaceful, supportive space, your child will:
Create meaningful art projects with age-appropriate materials
Practice simple mindfulness tools to relax, focus, and self-regulate
Build confidence and joy through play and process-based learning
Advanced Mindful Makers – Tuesdays 3.30pm-5pm
For students who have completed Mindful Makers or are in second grade and above, this extended class offers a deeper dive into the creative process. Each 16-week session introduces advanced techniques like layered printmaking, machine sewing, watercolor, and mixed media.
Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas to life, working on longer, more involved portfolio-worthy projects that reflect their personal style. Each session also begins with a mindfulness journal reflection, helping them connect their inner world to their creative work.
Children are welcome to attend both classes as they beautifully complement each other and make for a full week of creativity and calm.
We can’t wait to create with your child!
